Well, that escalated quickly.

Seven days. One t-shirt. 1,300+ followers. Two debates and about 73 people yelling in all caps that they’re “SO EXCITED.”

We see you.

Launching a new foot spot in Moundsville is one thing. Doing it online, with nothing but a logo, a dream, and a few stock photos of a hot dog or two? That’s a whole other gamble. But you showed up fast, loud, and with a ton of energy. Wow, is all we can say (and thank you).

We opened the door a crack this week to give people in the Ohio Valley a peek at what’s coming to 1st Street in Moundsville. You shared the posts. You tagged your friends. You messaged us like we already had a full finalized menu (not yet, but it’s close). People from Moundsville, Glen Dale, Wheeling, Cameron and all over the valley told us how ready they are for something new—and how long they’ve waited for a good, casual place to eat and hang out again.

That’s what we’re building. A comfortable place to order and get it to go or eat in and take a few moments to watch the game, catch up with friends, or just, well, exhale . The paint was purchased today (Carrie picked it). The flooring and equipment installation is in progress (Kevin's handling ALL of that). We are negotiating about very important things (like how many toppings are too many toppings, and whether or not Carrie can put a picture of the Mona Lisa holding her nose in the bathroom for decoration).

The menu is still moving. Not in a corporate “we’re finalizing our offerings” kind of way but more like “Carrie has seventeen notebooks, 14 computer tabs open and a sticky note system that only makes sense to her” kind of way. But it’s close. There will be pepperoni rolls. There will be hot dogs. There will be waffle fries and a signature cookie that you crave two days later. You’ll see updates soon. Same goes for photos of the progress and launching the rest of the socials. They’re coming. We are knocking things out as we can to try and hit our mark. In the meantime, Kevin keeps building. Carrie keeps being out in left field with her ideas.

You made this first week feel like the right thing at the right time. And maybe it is.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. We’ll see you soon. Carrie says mid-January. Kevin says mid to late. Fingers crossed things keep moving along so she can be right. Again.
